About Us

I Help Israel is a project made of love to Israel and a strong committment to work for a peaceful, secure, free and prosperous Jewish homeland, which maintains a strong bond with the world Jewry and with its friend. The goals of I Help Israel are described at the Mission Statement.

I Help Israel is a project launched on 2007, owned and operated by the Israeli Galia Internet Ventures Ltd. It was initiated by Arik Zara, an Israeli website developer and marketer, with a background of academical studies and practice in the fields of Law (LLB) and Social Work (MSW). Arik's dream has been to combine his fields of expertise for the benefit of Israel, its disadvantaged communities and its security. The I Help Israel project, which was formulated in the midst of Israel's 2006 war with Lebanese terror group Hezbollah, is the fulfillment of this dream.

Arik at Work!

Arik’s parents, Esti and Albert, immigrated to Israel from Turkey in 1971. In 1974 Arik was born in Tel Aviv, where he has lived all of his life. As a child, Arik played basketball in the Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club youth teams. When he was 18, after graduating from the Tichon Cahdash Yitzhak Rabin High School, Arik joined the Israeli Defense Forces and served there for three years. Arik completed his military service in 1995 and went to study at the Tel Aviv University Law School.

In the year 1999 Arik graduated with distinction from law school. He was hired by a leading Israeli law firm, Hamburger Evron & Co.. In 2004 Arik was invited by the Canadian McGill Middle East Peace Program to study for Masters in Social Work at McGill University, Montreal. Later on Arik was active in Community Advocacy, a community organization located at the heart of one of Jerusalem’s poorest neighborhoods, which works to strengthen the awareness of disadvantaged residents concerning their social rights, for the benefit of the poor, the disabled and the elderly. On the year 2007 Arik established his company, Galia Internet Ventures Ltd., an Israeli company active in the Internet marketing field, that owns and operates IHelpIsrael.com. Additional websites of the company are DoctorSimcha.com, JewishRingtone.com and JewishAffiliate.com. Arik enjoys finding innovative ways to support Israel, bring Jews worldwide together and making the world a better place.

Arik’s father, Albert, is the owner and manager of ZaraMart, an online Israeli Judaica shop and a source of pride to the family. Arik's elder brother, Yoram, is a lawyer. Yoram and his wife, Tammy, have a sweet daughter, Galia, who is the most beautiful child in Israel.

Thanks a lot, Ima! Arik’s mother, Esti, passed away recently when she was only 57 years old. Esti has been an everlasting source of love and inspiration for Arik and his family. You are in our hearts, Ima. May your soul rest in peace.
